Dan Hill
When it comes to sculpture, Dan Hill
is a late bloomer. His talent
emerged accidentally during the 1970's, laid dormant and began
its
upward spiral when Dan retired from his landscape business in
1995
and picked up some clay.
Two years later he carved out a niche, sculpting his first
life-size composition of
a child, the expressive, "Cowboys Don't Take Naps," modeled
after grandson, Sawyer. Now in his artistic prime, Dan has
created an impressive portfolio of life-size sculpture and
continues to work extremely hard polishing his talent.
Dan was born in Salt Lake City, UT in 1929. He currently
sculpts and
resides in Sandy, UT.
