VISION DIXIE gives residents of Washington County a chance to help outline a broad vision for how the county can accommodate population growth, protect the environment, enhance economic activity and maintain a very desirable quality of life.   Vision Dixie emphasizes public involvement, accurate information, local control, private property rights, and voluntary market-bases implementation strategies so communities can guide their own future growth. 

Many Open Houses will be held to discuss the various scenarios and to ask the public if this is the way they want to county to grow.
